I think the show was rigged, they already knew what type of singer they wanted before the show typecasted. Angel was right, Rodney and the rest of the judges don't know the meaning of starmaker. No contestant should have gone home they all should have been made stars per the shows title. To make stars out of everyone and introduce them to the industry. I don't see another season of this airing unless they open phone lines and let the world decide.

Thank you for the comment. I'll offer some thoughts in reply.

As far as the show being rigged... I don't think it's unreasonable for the person who will be giving the winner money to pick judges and require some input on the process of who he will pay and have to work with. As opposed to it being a popularity contest to see who can dial the most phones. I'm not saying the American Idol format is bad - just that it is no better or worse.

Regarding the judges, the only thing I will say is that you should check their respective pedigrees before talking about what they know the meaning of and Ms. Inez should do the same.

Finally, I think the idea of making them all stars would have been interesting but, I'm not sure it would work on TV. 14 winners, no eliminations just doesn't fit into the singing competition format, unfortunately. People want to see people eliminated, they want to fall in love with people, rail against the judges, etc. etc. It's all part of the experience and the ratings.

If there were no eliminations the show would be very boring. Although i like more than one person in the competition, that doesnt mean i would like it if everyone won. The threat of being eliminated makes the contestants step up or their gone. As for the show being rigged im not buying it. Of course Diddy had input into what type of artist he wants, he has every right to do so. The judges are pretty good, I tend to pay close attention to what Rodney Jerkins says because he is a great producer and has worked with alot of big talent.
