08/23: Clinton Sparks Samples Biggie's "Flava in Ya Ear (Remix)" Verse for Slim Thug, Bun B and Paul Wall Featured "Houston"
An as yet unreleased track from DJ/producer Clinton Sparks will feature a sample of Biggie's vocals from Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear (Remix)." The song is called "Houston" and it will feature Slim Thug, Bun B and Paul Wall.
An unfinished version of the song recently leaked online and the chorus is comprised of Biggie saying "Houston... pack the gat a lot." In the remix to "Flava in Ya Ear," Biggie raps: "Not from Houston, but I Rap-A-Lot, pack the gat a lot." The Biggie vocal is slowed down, as well.
On
his Twitter, Sparks said that the leaked version, which doesn't include Paul Wall, is not mixed or mastered and that it
contains a "dummy beat". We'll have more when Sparks officially releases the track.
