04/29: Video: Diddy Discusses Potential Partnership with Akon for Red Cafe, Discusses "Last Train to Paris" Direction
At the recent Core DJ Retreat in Atlanta, in front of an audience of DJs and standing beside Akon, Red Cafe and Cassie, Diddy helped introduce the
new remix to Red Cafe's "Hottest in the Hood." It features Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Fabolous, OJ da Juiceman and Diddy. The video from this appearance is below.
He also discussed
the potential partnership with Akon's Konvict Muzik, that would bring Red Cafe to Bad Boy.
At the end of the clip, he tells the DJs a little bit about "Last Train to Paris," and how it will be different - not so different that they can't play it, but that it's something they'll have to believe in.
Though the video begins with text saying "P. Diddy & Akon announce collaboration with Shakedown Ent. artist Red Cafe," Diddy says in the video that the paperwork is not signed. So, although it looks like it's probably happening, I'll be waiting to declare it official until I hear something more concrete. Stay tuned.
