10/24: "A Raisin in the Sun" Film Praised in New York Post
Adam Buckman of the New York Post gives Diddy some solid praise for his efforts in the upcoming film adaptation of "A Raisin in the Sun", coming to ABC on February 25.
This three-hour TV movie version of the revered play - starring the music-industry and entrepreneur sometimes known as Diddy but here known as Sean Combs - is so rewarding that it figures to be the cultural high point of the current TV season. ...
It's not only the quality of the acting either, though the performances are top drawer. That includes Combs, a man who in real life is richer than King Midas, but in "Raisin" plays a poor chauffeur in 1950s Chicago. "Money is life," he tells his mother (Rashad), three words freighted with meaning when they come out of the mouth of someone so famously well-off.
