Wayne Barrow is Biggie's former manager and a producer on the upcoming film, "Notorious". Nearly a month ago, they launched their open casting call to find their Biggie.

I conducted a short phone interview with him yesterday with my main objective being to find out what, if anything, that I could about the soundtrack. Are we going to hear any Biggie we haven't heard already? Alas, it was not in the cards as they have not even begun to really discuss that subject, yet. But, with that out of the way, I asked him a few other things that had been on my mind - including questions about the Biggie brand, the casting call, Sean Kingston and Diddy's involvement in the film. Read on for more.

Is there anything that you can tell me about the soundtrack?

No, we're no where near the place to be discussing anything about the soundtrack, yet.

Even as far as a label?

Again, there's nothing to discuss about the soundtrack. Don't know if there's even one gonna be done. I'm not even at that place.

Now, we've got the clothing line coming along and the movie's coming up - or starting to be developed - but, is there anything else on the horizon for the Biggie brand?

For the Notorious brand, there's a ton of licensing deals that are being done, in negotiation now. It's primarily just a matter of taking the brand to another level. And it's pending it's availability to the consumer.

What kind of products are you looking at?

Talking about a shoe line, chochke items, whether it be posters, post cards, ash trays, things along those lines.

It's been about a month since the open casting was started. How's the search going?

The search is going good, as expected. We still haven't found Christopher's character, as of yet. But, we're diligently still searching to find him.

Do you have at least a couple good candidates or is it just pretty much a strikeout so far and you're just waiting for Mr. Right?

It's never a strikeout. We're just looking for the right person. There are individuals that are coming across good as far as the audition tapes have been concerned. But, at the end of the day, [there's] not someone that's been selected, as of yet.

So, what happened with Sean Kingston? Did he just get a little too excited or what happened?

To be perfectly honest, I believe that his words might have been taken out of context or shifted around. I'm not quite sure. Good kid. I like him. Very creative. I met with him, actually, after all of that transpired and he'll be reading for the part just like everybody else.

When I first heard about the project, I really heard nothing of Mr. Combs being involved as far as executive producing. The first I heard about that was when George Tillman was named as the director. How did he get on board to executive produce?

Puff was always gonna be on board as related to executive producing the film. He's a very integral part of the career and the legacy of Notorious B.I.G. We would never ostracize or not involve him in the actual essence of this film. It was just a matter of making sure it was done at a time that was right for him as well as for as far as the film is concerned.

What is the time line of the film?

The time line basically is just we're trying to shoot sometime this fall and have it released sometime next fall.

Now, as far as the film itself, is it gonna start at his birth or is there a specific time line in place that you're gonna work with, within the film?

It won't start at his birth, but it'll start as him as a young kid and then move to his death.
