08/30: Chris Lighty, Founder of Violator and Manager of Diddy, Has Passed Away
Complex and
Vibe are reporting that Chris Lighty has died. Lighty was best known for founding
Violator and managing artists like Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Diddy.
Diddy
signed with Lighty in November of 2006, shortly after releasing his "Press Play" album.
Word of Lighty's passing spread rapidly through Twitter over the last hour. The circumstances surrounding his death have yet to be revealed.
