The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) has released their files from their investigation into the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. from 1997 through 2005.

According to reports by ABC News, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Daily News and the Associated Press, little is revealed in the heavily redacted files. The most noteworthy point seems to be related to the bullets that were used in his murder. They were were "very rare" Gekko 9 mm ammunition and the Daily News says that, according to the files, the FBI believed they found those type of bullets in the garage of David Mack, a former LAPD officer who has been regularly linked to the murder.

LAPD Capt. Kevin McClure told the Los Angeles Times that the investigation remains open, but all leads have now been exhausted. This follows a report in January that active leads were being investigated.
