04/21: Cassie Covers WWD Style; Hired as Spokesperson of Carol's Daughter
Beauty product manufacturer
Carol's Daughter has named Cassie as a new spokesperson, as part of their new multiracial ad campaign.
WWD's Julie Naughton and Pete Born reported on the story, which was picked up by
Jaime Richards of BellaSugar.
Cassie, who is of African-American and Filipino descent, is featured in the campaign alongside Selita Ebanks (Jamaican, Irish, Indian, African) and Solange Knowles (African-American and French Creole).
"Today, people are blended and I think the three of us are a prime example," Ebanks told WWD. "Women in my family range from vanilla to the deepest chocolate."
According to Richards, advertisements featuring the trio should be released with June, alongside a repackaging of the line. WWD's coverage was supplemented by a cover featuring all three. Check it out below.
