09/22: Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez Named as "American Idol" Judges
Brian Stelter of The New York Times reports that Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will join Randy Jackson as the judges on "American Idol" this season. Interscope Geffen A&M Records chairman Jimmy Iovine is also joining the program, serving as an "in-house mentor" to contestants.
This announcement puts to rest, for the time being, the notion that Diddy could become a judge for the show. He
expressed interest in the post back in May and we
launched an online campaign to support that interest in June.
