Lauren Carter of the Boston Herald has an interview with Janelle Monae.

“We have performance art, musicians, screenwriters, visual artists, you name it, and we’re very self-contained,” Monae said from her tour bus, which was in Atlanta when she called. “[Diddy] saw that and was very inspired by it and said, ‘I just want people to know about what you guys are doing.’ He’s been a man of his word, and this is a partnership. He’s a campaign champion. He endorses what the Wondaland Arts Society is doing.”
