06/12: The Houston Chronicle's Peep Interviews Janelle Monae
Over on the Houston Chronicle's Peep blog,
Joey Guerra has an interview with Janelle Monae.
"I'm not trying to create weird and experimental music for the sake of being different, because that music can suck," she says. "It's just about creating timeless music that will stay around for generations and generations, that will have the same impact like Songs In the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder.
