Mike Tunnicliffe at AdvertisingAge reported, in January, that Janelle Monae would be featured in "Open Happiness," as part of Coca-Cola's partnership with Warner Music Group, the parent company of Bad Boy's parent, Atlantic Records.

Monae appears alongside Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, Travis McCoy of Gym Glass Heroes, Brandon Urie of Panic At the Disco and Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley. It will be released online in March and will be featured in television ads in more than 100 countries. Along with this, Tunnicliffe notes, the artists will be mentioned on billions of cans of the drink.

While AdvertisingAge cites a source that indicates that both Atlantic and Coke will share in the profits, publishing rights to the song will be owned by Coca-Cola, who has pledged some of the proceeds to it's "Live Positively" program.
