boyzndahood on BadBoyForever.com posted an e-mail that he says that he received from a Bad Boy A&R. In this e-mail, the A&R says that the domain name for the Bad Boy site may change from badboyonline.com to badboy4life.com.

Firstly, this has to be regarded as rumor. Until it happens, if it happens at all, who knows. But, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. Numbers in domain names are generally not a good idea. They'd have to buy both badboy4life.com and badboyforlife.com. If Diddy goes on MTV and says "visit badboy4life.com", does he mean the number or the word? Also, the song was "Bad Boy for Life", so that just adds to the confusion. It's best to be avoided. If they can't persuade Bad Boy Brands to sell them the domain name, badboyonline.com is about as good as it gets.

But, putting that aside, Bad Boy doesn't appear to own badboy4ever.com. Check the whois. Someone in Amsterdam. Could that be an agent for Bad Boy? Maybe... but it's just not consistent with what has happened previously. If you go to the Network Solutions whois search and type in badboyonline.com and seanjohn.com. They are registered to Bad Boy Entertainment or Sean Combs. Check the whois on diddyonline.com. Registered to Bad Boy Worldwide. They don't own badboyforlife.com, either.

Could they be in the process of acquiring them? Maybe. But, why would anyone be telling a random Bad Boy fan before it was done? It all seems very odd and unlikely. But, wanted to mention it, nonetheless.
