08/27: Yung Joc Featured in August 18 and August 25 Issues of Billboard Magazine
Joc was featured in the August 18 issue of Billboard on in a feature on Chris Hicks. He's featured in a list of writers that were brought to Warner/Chappell Music by Mr. Hicks. In a list of 20 poeple (ordered by number of titles to chat on the Hot 100 or R&B/Hip Hop Songs charts), Joc is T7th, behind only Bryan-Michael Cox, Jazze Pha, T.I., Lil' Wayne, Danjahandz and Paul Wall. Bad Boy, Diddy and Boyz N Da Hood are briefly mentioned in the article. It also features a couple of quotes from Block and how Hicks helped him when he was getting into the music industry.
In the August 15 issue, "Hustlenomics" gets a half page write up, focusing on the upcoming album and the marketing push behind it. It notes that Joc will have a line of potato chips through
Rap Snacks (their site already lists some
Yung Joc snacks available) as well as a line of jewelry (designed by him) through Icebox.
