The Detroit Free Press has an article on Robert from Making the Band 4:

"I had auditioned for 'American Idol' a couple of years back and, man, the whole reality TV show audition thing was kind of messed up in my head because of how that went. I kind of didn't want to put myself in the position to be set up," he says. "But I decided to do it, anyway. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to be with Diddy. And MTV, that's crazy. I had to give it a chance."

It's a chance that likely will play in his favor. In last week's episode, Combs asked the other judges to assemble their dream-team singing group. Curry's Polaroid snapshot was in each judge's group.
