10/09: Recap of Bad Boy Records Performance at BET Hip-Hop Awards 2012 (with Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Los, Uncle Luke and Future)
The
Bad Boy Records performance just happened at 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Let me set the scene.
Future began his set with "Turn Off the Lights" before transitioning to "Same Damn Time." But, it wasn't the album cut, it was the remix. Diddy rose from beneath the stage, spotlight shining, to recite his verse with Los and Future serving as hype men.
After he finished, Machine Gun Kelly floated down from the rafters for "Wild Boy," working from the stage and climbing up into an area where people were seating. All while everyone was rocking to the song.
The final song was French Montana's "Pop That." Uncle Luke, who is sampled on the hit's chorus, came out for his part and Montana emerged. As he performed his opening verse, everyone was on stage: Diddy, Los, MGK, Luke, Montana and Future. The set concluded with an explosion of fire. Diddy, throughout the set, proclaimed that Bad Boy was back.
