As we reported on Saturday, Sean John opened a "pop up" store in Miami to take advantage of the traffic generated by the National Football league Pro Bowl and Super Bowl.

Women's Wear Daily has more on the concept, which is aimed at being environmentally friendly. The store in Miami is the first of "many sustainable, green pop-up stores" that the company will be building, according to Sean John president Dawn Robertson.

The Sean John blog has details on the "pop up" shop that launched today in Miami. A "pop up" shop is a temporary retail location aimed at taking advantage of some sort of rush in traffic or potential customers.

Miami will play host to the National Football League Pro Bowl on January 31 and the Super Bowl on February 7. Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and rapper Rick Ross will host events during the store's brief run.

The AP and Courtroom News Service report that Christian Casey LLC, the parent company of Sean John, has filed suit against the landlord of Sean John's Fifth Avenue store, claiming that erected scaffolding has made the store front less attractive, having a meaningful impact on sales.

In the filing, Christian Casey seeks a declaration from the court that the landlord, 475 Fifth 09, LLC, was in breach of the lease agreement and damages at trial of at least $2.5 million.

During last night's appearance on the Home Shopping Network, Diddy revealed that Sean John is in production on a new women's fragrance. A caller asked him when the female equivalent of I Am King, another Sean John fragrance, would be coming out. Diddy said that they may have to call it something other than "I Am Queen" and that it might be called "Empress."

If you're in the U.S., you know that today is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving when retailers attempt to draw shoppers to their stores (online and off) through sales and, in some cases, through the discounting of highly advertised products, with the hope that the purchasers will buy other things, too.

Sean John's online store is having a Black Friday sale, offering 25% off on orders of $125 or more and free shipping within the United States. You don't have to be in the U.S. to get the 25% off, though.

Some of my favorite items in the store right now would be the "Big City Bright Lights" and "Move in Silence Tee" t-shirts and the Cross Plaque Antique Nickel belt.

Back in January, we reported that Massachusetts based glass artist Tom Patti had filed a copyright infringement suit against Diddy and designers James Gager and Johan Liden over the casing of the Sean John Unforgivable fragrance.

Well, court proceedings have begun and Stephanie Berry of The Republican has the story.

One of the more noteworthy revelations is the fact that Patti offered a "settlement" which would allow him to claim one third of the wholesale sales, which seems ludicrously high and skin to saying that the inspiration that Patti's designs allegedly provided were directly responsible for at least half of all sales, when you consider that wholesale numbers would not include expenses in development, marketing and elsewhere.

Defensive lawyer Barbara A. Solomon, representing Diddy, called the offer "ridiculous" and said that Unforgivable "hasn't made a dime," which is an interesting assertion. It also seems like an odd one. I've e-mailed Ms. Solomon in an effort to verify this statement.

"I think they’re looking at a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow that does not exist," Solomon also said, according to Berry. The trial has not yet been given a date.

Earlier today, I mentioned a video of Diddy and Vogue magazine Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, in which Diddy mentioned there would be music, drinks and, most importantly, shopping at the Sean John store on 5th Avenue in New York City for Fashion's Night Out. The Sean John blog has details on this, including a giveaway and the ability to donate any old Sean John item to receive 30% off a new Sean John item.
