The last few months have been a little crazy and, as such, we have been focusing on high level stories - or stories that happened to cross my desk - here at Bad Boy Blog. At the same time, being a comprehensive source, I at least wanted to summarize some of the stories that fell through the cracks during this time. Check out some of them below.

Sean John T-Shirt Design Allegedly Lifted from Yale Poster

In October, Yale Daily News and Co.Design both reported on allegations that a Sean John t-shirt featured a design that was taken from a poster that had been used for a symposium at the Yale School of Architecture in 2007.

There does not appear to have been an update to the story. So, a private settlement could have been made or, perhaps, they decided no legal action was necessary. At the time the story was fresh, Michael Bierut, who commissioned the design in question, said that it was unlikely that any such action would be taken.

For the third consecutive year, Sean John will be designing the jackets given to the 2010 class of the Basketball Hall of Fame on August 13 in Springfield, MA.

According to the Sean John blog, for the first time ever, the jackets will be featured as part of a permanent exhibition at the museum.

The 2010 class includes the 1960 U.S. Men's Olympic team and the 1992 U.S. Men's Olympic team (known as the "Dream Team") as well as Dr. Jerry Buss, Cynthia Cooper, Bob Hurley, Sr., Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen and the posthumous inductions of Dennis Johnson, Gus Johnson and Maciel "Ubiratan" Pereira.

"We are so thrilled to be a part of this third installment with our involvement in the NBA," Diddy said, via press release. "This year the inductees are some of my favorite players and they are sure to go down in history. These are athletes that changed the sport forever. To be a part of two separate Dream Teams receiving homage for what they’ve offered the sport is just incredible. I idolized the 1960 Dream Team growing up and watched the 1992 Dream Team as a young adult and it’s an honor just to be in the same room let alone design them a collection of blazers."

James Covert of the New York Post reports that Sean John has "struck a deal to outsource the contracting of overseas manufacturers for its merchandise." The deal will apparently lead to as many as 10 of Sean John's 100 or greater full-time New York staff heading over to LF USA, which is a unit of trading company Li & Fung Group.

The post story also quotes a Sean John spokesperson, who made clear that design, promotion and production were not being outsourced and that the outsourcing deal with allow the clothing and lifestyle brand to cater more to its strengths under CEO Dawn Robertson, who will have been with the company two years on August 1.
