Kelley L. Carter of Billboard reports that Janelle Monae was among those honored at the Atlanta stop of the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul's 3rd Annual Women Behind the Music Series.

In the clip below, fun. performs a live, acoustic version of "We Are Young," which features Janelle Monae. It was first released in September.

According to My Fashion Life, Janelle Monae is featured with an eight page spread in the November issue of Essence magazine.

Janelle Monae is among the performers slated for the 18th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway, the concert announced today. The event on December 11 will feature Sugarland, David Gray, Jill Scott, Matthew Morrison, Ellie Goulding, Bernhoft and World Youth Choir.

Yesterday evening, Janelle Monae performed at the White House, following the State Dinner with South Korea. According to her official website, she performed "Tightrope," "Smile" and "I Want You Back."

According to The Washington Post's The Reliable Source blog, Janelle Monae will perform following tonight's state dinner with South Korea at the White House.

"So deeply honored President Obama and the First Lady invited me to perform tonight at the State Dinner!," Monae tweeted.

To celebrate the grand opening of the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, the hotel chain brought Janelle Monae in to perform. In the clip below, you can see parts of "Tightrope," as well as some interview snippets where the singer discusses her pre-show routine and the city of Atlanta.

In an interview with Campus Times, Janelle Monae was asked how long she would continue to release music under the alter ego concept featured on "Metropolis" and "The ArchAndroid."

"Well, there are only two people that know, and that's 'The' and 'Future,'" she said. "I don't know why I just said that [laughs]. But yeah, I'll let you know as soon as I know. As of now, I'm just writing music and not even placing a date on it. I’m just writing the music for what I feel needs to be said at the moment."
